Solar Monitor App Reviews

Having the K index (measures disturbance of Earths magnetic field) is useful for Radio Amateurs, yet it is missing the Solar Flux Index (a measure of the energy output of the sun at certain frequencies) which indicates for us Hams how strong the ionosphere is, and therefore how good is propagation (the GOES Sat X-ray flux is not as useful to Hams). Useful App nonetheless. Holding high hopes for the next upgrade.

Has nearly everything. I wish there was a 7 day or two week Kp chart. Impressed to see Costello.

The only thing this is missing is the ability to create short movies. Hopefully this is something they could provide in an update.

Great!, but can you please relse an update to add more featurs Like perdictons of the next solar storm or recent storms!

I liked this app when I first purchased but it seems to have gone through a meltdown. Images have not updated for a week. There is no C2 telescopic image.

There is plenty of good info, but its poorly presented and a pain to navigate. The frames that are around all the displays are entirely unnecessary and only serve to block important info. Much of the info and pics are too small to interpret and the pinch and zoom is crippled by the stupid frames.

Execution of the app is very nice but very mediocre content compared to similar apps.

Tried to download at least two times. I get it to open to the first page but with nothing on it... Nothing but outlines of the different boxes. This is the only ap. That does this...Please fix

This app hasnt had an update in awhile and is not iOS 4.3 compatible. If you fall into the 4.3 realm then do not buy as this app as it will not load info when launched and usually crashes about 5 seconds after being launched. Use to be great prior to the 4.3 version of iOS. I never have had an app that doesnt function at this level and I dont believe app developers should profit from a non-functioning app. I am kind of shocked that apple has let this app continue in the app store. This is a warning for iOS 4.3 users. I cannot speak for any other iOS at the moment.

The only thing that will make this app better, is to have some alert system warning announcement in place, so when an event happens an alarm of some type sounds to let you know of the current event happening.

Ok app but it need a push notification option added so users are alerted when an event has occurred.

Great app, been using it for over a year, but 4 days ago, the images under the Telescope tab have been frozen. What gives??

Finally - push notifications and retina graphics! And now this app is quite handsome. Ability to remove the artificial frames in the Telescope section is a nice touch; differentiated categories for storms is also welcome. I suppose the app icon could be better, but thats not really a problem. Solid app.

The update to version 2 greatly improved an already awesome app! Push notifications have been desired for a long time & theyre here! Keep up the great work!

I love the new update! It has a ton of extra stuff :D

This is a must have for cosmology hobbiest. The description area could be improved but its nothing google cant solve.

Overall, this is a great app to have. Had no issues with it and has provided great information about sun and solar weather.
