Terrific app! Addition of Push notification of significant Solar/Sun events is great. The fact is the sun does have both the potential and a history of expelling ejecta of a nuclear kind that can turn our world, well, lets just say. This app will tell you when to head for the basement or deeper :) + its fun

I love this app! Ive learned so much about the sun by reading its space weather reports and solar flare alerts. It also has a really cool dashboard display of key indicators.

Well made app with excellent content and data. Would like to see it optimized for iPhone 5 larger screen. Besides that it is an excellent tool.

Alright then, I am a geek, but I have not regretted purchasing this application, shall I say, more than three iPhones ago. The push notification feature has added value to this app. I recommend Solar Monitor to those who want information that is approximately eight light minutes ahead of most people.

Notification updates broke a great app. Now the app locks up every time you open it. When it is upgraded to fix this issue lll change my rating back to 5 when it is fixed.

I bought this app to alert me when there is a good chance of seeing the northern lights. I can’t find any explanation of what I’m seeing on the screen or what the many different measurements mean. There is no information on how to configure alerts. Went to the developer web site and all that provided was a link to the app on iTunes. No documentation anywhere I can find. Very angry I spent the money.

I love this app! It provides much more information than the Solar Alert app. It lets me know when the sun emits dangerous flares which can affect electrical systems, navigational systems, and satellites. It also warns me when there will be blackouts in the HF radio spectrum - very important to know when sending and receiving on HF frequencies. It a great source of information in learning about and understanding how the sun behaves. This is one app you cannot live without!

This is a good app. One thing I would like to have is the ability to choose which sun images are shown rather than the default 4 (the ipad version has many more). It would be nice to get the video feed of the rotating sun too. Please continue to develop this app. It is still one of the best solar apps. BTW: notices do come properly and timely.

Id rate this 5 stars, but I paid $10 for it which seems a bit overpriced. The main thing I need is notification of K indices >=5 to make sure my quadcopter doesnt have GPS problems and this seems to be the only app that does it. The app is well designed but needs an update for the iPhone 6+ screen ratio. It would also be nice to see a universal version with iPad ui support.

This used to work great now it crashes every time I open it on my iPhone 6 iOS 8.2. Ive tried removing and reinstalling also power off/on. This app has ZERO support!!!! Dont buy!

It would be a nice feature if you had descriptions of the coronal holes ( AR___ ) and location information ( like where on the disc etc) associated with the flares that occur.

This app needs to be updated big time.

No matter what storm is in progress they never see it coming. It always reads "Activity expected to be Low" It wont open with the new 9.0 update.
